CITY SPOTLIGHTS
Today, there are 87 official Texas Main Street communities all across Texas that range in population from 2,000 to more than 300,000. They range from some of the very smallest communities in Texas to urban areas and they are spread all across the state. Of the currently designated Main Street communities, 57 have less than 25,000 in population and 31 have more than 25,000 population. Together, more than 2.5 million Texans live in these Main Street communities.
It is through our Main Street communites that make the Texas Main Street Program a success. We continue to spotlight a different Main Street city monthly in our monthly publication, Main Street Matters. You can view years past publications on our website or view each individual city in our resource library.
